Japan

I’m always on the look out for an interesting place to see. At age 28, i haven’t traveled enough yet. Singapore is my usual destination when I do international roadshow. Japan is a very interesting city and there is a lot to it that I want to see if there is a chance, and i really love their culture and the architecture. The simple lines, zen living, stillness is just perfect for me. It’s my next destination to establish my network.

Thank You

This is such a wonderful song. Im so blessed for having great people around me at work, personal, family, community service. Thank you to all the people who are so generous with their time and effort for helping and giving help to me and for all the things they have done to me. On the right time i’ll give back. But for now, Thank you Lord.

Mt. Pico De Loro

It’s been a while since I last climb a mountain. My last was Mt. Cristobal. I’m seeing myself soon waving from the top of that mountain.

Flowers aren’t the same after this dinner. Our plated dinner at Bohol Bee Farm. A choice between baked spareribs and honey glazed chicken, with their famous ice cream. Yummy ! Thumbs Up !

SALn

I believe those required to file SALNs have difficulty in the valuation of land, land and buildings, condos and the like as it is not clear what option to use as written in the back guidelines of the 2 pages SALN - the acquisition cost, the zonal valuation normally attached to deed of sale which is very low, or the current value which is hard to determine as dictated by market forces. To be safe many are using the zonal valuation which is prescribed by BIR and can be taken from assessor’s office. Also there are options if properties are bought, donated or inherited. Clarifications can help if the real properties are under or over valued. Iam sure that SALN filers are using different values as to the method they interpreted.

Henderson Bridge

During one of our drinking sessions in Clark Quay Singapore, my friend who is based there mentioned to me about this amazing attraction of Singapore:

Henderson Waves (亨德森波浪桥)) is a 274-metre (899 ft)long pedestrian bridge. At 36 metres (118 ft) above Henderson Road, it is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. It connects Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Hill Park. It was designed by IJP Corporation, London, and RSP Architects Planners and Engineers (PTE) ltd Singapore. The bridge has a wave-form made up of seven undulating curved steel ribs that alternately rise over and under its deck. The curved ribs form alcoves that function as shelters with seats within. Slats of yellow balau wood, an all-weather timber found in Southeast Asia, are used in the decking. The wave-forms are lit with LED lamps at night from 7pm to 2am daily.[Wiki]

I made sure to take photos of this bridge before i leave to complete my singapore journey.

Singapore Botanical Garden

For the lack of it in Manila, I enjoyed walking around Singapore’s Botanical Gardens. It was a must see for me when i went there.

The weather is perpetually summer in singapore and the plants are so green. I felt I was in wonderland when I walk there with my friend. Most of the people come there are western people to surround themselves in greenery and escape from the skyscraper they see every day. Families picnic in the shade, joggers sweat, and elderly Chinese perform tai chi.

Singapore’s botanical garden has themed gardens like Bamboo garden, spice garden, garden evolution. It also has structures like the amphitheater and restaurants.

I’m a nature person. Spending an afternoon at the Botanical Garnden was a memorable day for me even though it was super humid.
